Dinosaur fun

We have been following the children's interests very carefully and, since we have a lot of interest in dinosaurs, we have been learning all about them!
First of all we needed to know what our dino experts knew. Some knew lots and have been amazing Teaching assistants!!

Dinosaur role play.
It's a job to wear these horns!
 And tails...
Especially when you do the dinosaur hoop!!

There have been some wonderful small world play.

Some amazing models of dinosaurs

Which then led onto some brilliant writing...

We've all enjoyed doing the dinosaur stomp!

We have been palaeontologists and have looked digging for and exploring bones.

We were very excited to find some dinosaur eggs. I wonder what's inside?...

We enjoyed trying to free the dinosaurs from the frozen eggs too. How could we do this quickly? Some knew we needed warmth to make the ice melt. We talked about how ice on the road is melted and then showed the children the effects that salt had on melting the ice.

We measured actual size t-Rex footprints.
